Frequently referred to as ‘The St. Andrews of Ireland’, the revered links carved from the natural landscape of towering dunes and set on the Atlantic coast make Lahinch a truly mystical experience. The original course was designed by the legendary Tom Morris and was revised in 1928 by Dr Alister Mackenzie of Augusta/Pebble Beach fame.

The goats were a great guide to the weather at Lahinch. If they were seen hovering around the clubhouse the weather prospects were not good, but if they made their way out to the outer regions of sandhills then the weather was sure to be fine. The goats continue to roam across the links without a care in the world!
