Just 10 years after Pebble Beach opened, the star power of Bobby Jones introduced the golfing world to Pebble Beach at the 1929 U.S. Amateur. Pebble Beach has been an iconic championship venue ever since. The 2019 U.S. Open marked Pebble Beach’s 13th USGA Championship, and sixth U.S. Open. Pebble Beach is the only course to host USGA championships in back-to-back years more than once, and will host 10 future USGA championships, the next being the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open and the 2027 U.S. Open Championship.
