The German Herrman Lang in the Mercedes W125 leading the early laps of the 1937 German Grand Prix on the mighty 14 mile long Nurburgring “Nordschleife” circuit. He is seen here leading Bernd Rosemeyer (Auto-Union), Rudolf Caracciola (Mercedes) and Manfred von Brauchitsch (Mercedes) through the Hatzenbach section soon after the pits. Lang was later to be delayed by a burst tyre and finished 7th while Rudi Caracciola went on to win from von Brauchitsch and Rosemeyer.
