Going To Cover shows a huntsman being driven in a carriage. Incidentally, many enthusiasts actually followed the hunt in carriages, using the roads and depending on anticipation and experience, to keep in contact with the riders and hounds. Often, elderly huntsmen would follow on horseback by road to avoid the hazards of fences, hedges and brooks.
