Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin, (28 April 1870 – 6 January 1935) was one of the greatest of England’s early twentieth century sporting artists.His love of the countryside and its abundant sporting pleasures is seen at its most mature in the series of golf courses which he produced in the 1920s Although originally a set of six scenes when published, there are at present only four courses available (please see our Refs BG09-12). Aldin had various styles during his lifetime from humorous illustration to the exact depiction of landscape
