To commemorate the victory of Enzo Ferrari driving an Alfa Romeo at the circuit of Savio at Ravenna on 17th June 1923, when Enzo Ferrari was presented with the ‘Prancing Horse Emblem’ by the father of the late Francesco Baracca, the famous Italian fighter ace.
Enzo Ferrari (18 February 1898 – 14 August 1988) was an Italian racing driver and entrepreneur, the founder of Scuderia Ferrari in Grand Prix motor racing, and subsequently of the Ferrari automobile marque. Under his leadership in Formula One, Ferrari won nine World Drivers’ Championships and eight World Constructors’ Championships during his lifetime.
