In what has gone down in history as the closest ever finish of the 24 hours of Le Mans, the Ickx/Oliver Ford GT40 crossed the line a mere yards ahead of the Hermann/Larrousse Porsche 908. The image depicts the GT40 leading the Porsche through Maison Blanche on the final lap.
