TONY McCOY produced the ride of his life as Don’t Push It won the 2010 Grand National at Aintree.
The Jonjo O’Neill-trained winner (10-1 joint favourite) was given a good fight by Black Apalachi (14-1) who was prominent throughout but McCoy – on his 15th ride in the race – was always stalking him on the second circuit. As they jumped the last together, McCoy galvanised his mount to take up the running before the Elbow and the relief the record-breaking rider showed immediately afterwards was immense. This was his first Grand National win!
