John Williams rode his works Suzuki to victory in the 1976 Classic TT race and was leading the Senior TT race when his bike ran out of fuel at Governors Bridge on the final lap. Determined to complete the race, John pushed the bike all the way to the line, finishing in seventh place. By way of consolation, his fastest lap of 112.27mph saw him become the first man to lap the TT course at over 110mph.
