The Turnberry Hotel, in Scotland’s south west Ayrshire coast, was built at the turn of the century and has maintained its tradition of Edwardian elegance.

The inaugural Open Golf Championship of 1977 culminated in the now historical shoot-out between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus, with Watson the eventual winner.
