Peter Curling chose to paint this unique image in order to commemorate the career of Britain’s most accomplished and best-loved sports broadcaster, Sir Peter O’Sullevan, whose career drew to an end on Saturday 29 November 1997. This pictorial tribute depicts Sir Peter O’Sullevan surrounded by friends and by many important and famous members of the horse racing fraternity, including Lester Piggott and HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
