Winner of 10 races, Baaeed was one of the world’s highest rated racehorses. Debuting as a three-year-old, he progressed rapidly to end the season with Group 1 wins over a mile in the Prix du Moulin and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. The following season, he scored superb top-flight victories at Newbury, Ascot, and Goodwood, before stepping up in distance to devastating effect in the International Stakes at York. A son of outstanding champion Sea The Stars, and from a prestigious female line, Baaeed wss trained by William Haggas at Newmarket and ran in the famous colours of Shadwell.
