Winner of the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes in 2001, Galileo was trained at Ballydoyle by Aidan O’Brien and ridden by Michael Kinane. He is widely acknowledged as the world’s best stallion and was champion sire in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019. He is the sire of 84 individual Group 1 winners including numerous classic winners and the world champion Frankel. He is himself by the great champion sire Sadler’s Wells out of Urban Sea by Miswaki. Galileo stands at the world famous Coolmore Stud, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.
