A first-rate chaser, Galopin Des Champs is the winner of eleven Grade 1 races, most recently the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown. Successfully stepping up in distance over his career, he proved an easy winner of the 2023 Cheltenham Gold Cup. Winning again in 2024 he gave his trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Paul Townend their fourth victories in the race. He is shown here with Townend in the saddle, on their way to winning the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup in 2024.
