In winning both the Epsom and Irish Derbies, Lambourn made history by replicating the feat of his sire Australia and grandsire Galileo, who were likewise trained at Ballydoyle by the phenomenal Aidan O?Brien. Lambourn is shown here at the top of the Epsom hill, on his way to a dominant front-running victory under Wayne Lordan.
