A motor racing fan since childhood, Colin Carter has always been a frustrated racing driver. Instead he found success as a motorsport artist.

British artist Colin Carter is now sought after in more than 35 countries. His unique oil paintings fill the canvas with images of drivers at the wheel.

Private and Corporate collectors include: George Lucas, David Letterman, Emerson Fittipaldi, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna Foundation, Giancarlo Fisichella, Daytona Speedway, Indianapolis Speedway, Indy Racing League, Goodyear, Autosport magazine and Motor Cycle News HQ.

His work has been signed by past and present motor racing champions from Sir Stirling Moss to Michael Schumacher and has been reproduced as official prints for Goodyear, Rothmans, Indy Racing League, The Indianapolis Speedway, Nascar and various drivers and team sponsors. His work has also been used as promotional material by Ferrari and Jaguar.

Interestingly, Colin paints ‘live’ at exhibitions worldwide, at events such as the Silverstone, Monza and Imola Grand Prix, the 24 Hour Le Mans, Laguna Seca, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Retromobile, Paris and the London, Geneva, Melbourne and Frankfurt Motor Shows. He has been featured internationally in various car magazines, national newspapers and TV.

Colin works from his own gallery and studio in Ramsgate, Kent, in the south of England.
