1965 : Born November 25th Harleston,Norfolk

1982 : Left Secondary school,no further Education,Took and passed A-Level Art with 2months notice in my 5th Year,then had to take CSE. Previously passed O Level Art while in my 4th year at school age 14.

1984 : First Published in Peter Hainings “key to Time”

1989 : Went Freelance/Self Employed after 5years illustrating for various Fanzines: Cloister Bell &Cosmic Masque. As well as Magazines such as TV Zone/ Dr Who Magazine/Space Junk. and various Illustrations for Games Workshop.

1989 : Attack of the Cybermen, cover published (first Painting for many years as I specialised in B&White illo’s) All this time I was Illustrating for John Freeman at Marvel Comics Dr Who Magazine,providing the odd internal Illo’ as well as Comic strip work.

1990’s : Worked for many varied companies: Quantum Leap Covers for Boxtree/ Red Dwarf Covers for the Red Dwarf Smegazine (Fleetway)Various Dr Who Covers for WH Allen as well as the Whole “Timelord” Role Play Book and Gary Russell’s “Invasion of the Cat People”As well as Painting for the “Frame” Fanzine.As well as Crime illustrations for Knave Mens Magazine.

1992 : Married Michelle and Moved to Norwich

1994 : After years of pestering the BBC I was finally given my 1st video cover to paint :“The 2Doctors” This led to another 32 Video covers & Various Book Covers for the BBC, before the advent of Computer Photo manipulation, which led to the necessity of getting an Agent in 1997, as most prestigious work went that way. My last cover work for Dr Who, was the Official Calendar in 1999 through Slow Dazzle. For whom I produced a set of Postcards in 2000 as well as a Dalek & Tardis Calendar. During this time I also painted Many Covers for Marvels Dr Who Magazine & Classic Comics.A Red Dwarf single cover for EMI (tongue tied)And some Computer Games Magazine covers for EMAP.

2000 onwards: Mostly Children’s & Educational work via Agencies . There were several Collectors plates Dr Who and Star Wars along the way. As well as lots of Natural History illustration. And CD covers for Status Quo/Iron Maiden & Toni Christie. I also decided to learn how to Paint on Computer and Now I can produce Artwork to the same standard as I can Traditionally something which gives me a Versatility that helps me survive as a Freelance Artist in this competitive world.
