He worked for various newspapers in Fleet Street as a freelance illustrator; 20 years at the Daily Mail producing a daily strip called Focus on Fact and, at the same time, The Gary Player Golf Strip for the Sunday Express.

He joins Artists Partners, the leading artists agents in the country, undertaking illustrations for advertising, finished artwork for book publishers, including Penguin, corgi, Transworld etc

During this period he began to be commissioned to paint portraits. The commissions grew to such an extent that he had to leave Artists Partners to devote more time to portrait painting.

Commissions for limited edition sporting prints were taken on and proved to be so successful that he has become one of this country’s leading sports artists. Sporting celebrities have included Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Gary Sobers, Michael Atherton, Ian Wright, Jimmy Greaves, Ellen MacArthur and Sir Stirling Moss etc.
