HARKER, Doug

Doug attended the Liverpool Regional College of Art where he received a B A (Hons) in graphic design. He then worked as a freelance illustrator and finish artist for an extensive range of advertising agencies and publishing companies which led him to work for many household companies including Ford Motors, Warner Bros, Shell and Penguin Books. Doug became a lecturer of foundation studies in art and design at Liverpool Poly and later Head of Department at the Open College of Art.

Since retiring from teaching in 2000 Doug has applied his vast experience to painting a wide range of images which include Military Aircraft and now Sport. He works with acrylic and gouache.
