All eyes were on young Brazilian Ayrton Senna in his Toleman TG184 Hart-Turbo in the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix. From 13th on the grid he was closing in on leader Alain Prost’s McLaren and finished 2nd in the rain shortened race, right on the tail of the Frenchman.
