To commemorate the victory of Baron de Graffenried in the 1949 British Grand Prix at Silverstone in a Maserati F1 4CLT

Baron Emanuel de Graffenried, affectionately known as ‘Toulo’, winning the 1949 British Grand Prix, the first “Grand Epreuve” race at Silverstone driving a privately entered Maserati 4CLT under the team banner of ‘Scuderia Enrico Plate’ which was owned by de Graffenried, a friend and the Chief Mechanic Enrico Plate. Second Place was taken by Bob Gerrard in his ERA.
