The Canadian Gilles Villeneuve was the bravest fighter and one of the most spectacular drivers to grace the world of Formula One. The 1981 Monaco Grand Prix was one of his many great days and he is seen here in front of the Hotel de Paris in Casino Square, in his turbocharged Ferrari having just taken the lead from Alan Jones’s Williams.
