Nigel Mansell thrilled his fans when he found himself leading in the wet at monaco in 1984 for what would have been his maiden GP win, Sadly he crashed into the barriers like so many others that day. The eventual winner was Alain Prost, although a certain Ayrton Senna was closing in. Senna made his name that day and went on to become world champion three times.
